This leader has a unique taper that tapers up towards the front and then down again towards the tippet. This gives more mass in the front section and a more powerful turnover when you cast heavier nymphs and rigs of dry and dropper. The leader is ready to use as it is with a tippet length of 100 CM, when fishing in smaller rivers and creeks this is sufficient tippet length and longer can be a hassle to control due to lack of space and the short drifts/presentations needed.
If you need a longer tippet section, the leader can be lengthened by adding the same or thinner diameter. We have found this leader to be very useful for close target fishing in lakes from the bank. This means often just casting with the leader outside the rod and the power in this leader makes this short casts easier to perform. If you want to customize the leader and use several dimensions of tippet use the 3x version, cut off half of the tippet and add a tippet ring. Then to the ring add the tippet size needed for the flies you want to fish. This way lets you use a multitude of different flies and tactics.
